Things We Say Today Which We Owe To Shakespeare

We learn about Shakespeare from the start of high school, even before, all the way on through college and thereafter. We also use several phrases today, but did you know a lot of the good phrases we use like “Fight fire with fire”, and “Knock knock! Who’s there?” All come from Shakespeare. Now that’s a “Piece of work”, for you, pun intended. So the next time you use a commonly used phrase, you might just be using a phrase that Shakespeare had the pleasure of giving you.
