Come See Cool Poetry!

Right here at Guilford College, we will be hosting professional poet Ada Limón! Tomorrow, March 21st Limón will be hosting a workshop in Founders East Gallery from 2:30 to 3:50. Later that day, she will have a reading of her work in Hege Library from 7:00 to 8:00.

To give a little background, Limón is the author of four poetry collections, including Bright Dead Things, which was named a finalist for the 2015 National Book Award in Poetry, the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, and the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award. The collection was also in the Top Ten Poetry Books of the Year by The New York Times! She is also the author of Lucky Wreck, This Big Fake World, and Sharks in the Rivers, all of which will be available for purchase and signing at her reading in Hege Library.

This is a great opportunity for poetry lovers, aspiring poets, and, well, everyone to come see an extremely talented artist share her work. The workshop she will be hosting in Founders sounds like it’s going to be a blast.
